At the heart of this (in the middle) is the value proposition. The input factors are displayed on the left-hand side: Personnel resources, costs, dependencies of the business model. On the right side, the aspects related to the target group are summarized: Which target group is reached through which channels? And: What added value is created for the customers, how can the customers' willingness to pay be monetized?

The Business Model Canvas is very well suited to discuss, refine and optimize an existing business model. It is also suitable for designing new business models for companies who are in a transition phase of digital transformation. The Business Model Canvas can be used very well in workshops. The participants enter their discussion contributions and questions in each of the nine fields with sticky notes.
