The Chaos Computer Club (CCC) is - according to its own statements - the "largest European hacker association", namely "hackers" in the positive sense: technology experts who point out security gaps and inform affected companies or the public about them. Wikipedia refers to CCC as a key NGO on computer security.
The activities of CCC include a mediating role in the area of conflict between technical and social developments. To this end, CCC uses campaigns, political consulting and events such as the annual Chaos Communication Congress, which was last held in Leipzig at the end of 2019.
